The main location used for theatre was the Buccleuch Hall, owned by the Milligan family, staging local and visiting productions.

Local productions were provided by the Langholm Amateur Dramatic Society and other groups, but performances during the war were mainly by visiting companies.
Visiting productions in 1915 included:
- Two separate series of a different play each night for six nights by Miss Marie Danvers Smith and her No. 1 Company of Dramatic Artistes (see 8th March and 15th November in the Diary).

- Madame Marie Levante’s internationally known Orchestra of Ladies (see 31st March in the Diary).

- The Rosary by American Edward E Rose, performed by Miss Inez Howard’s company (see 9th Nov in the Diary).
